PUBLICATION

Thanks again to everyone who attended AMPRAW and gave a paper! We are now in the preliminary stages of preparing an edited volume based on 2017's conference. All conference presenters are encouraged to submit papers for potential publication by 1 March 2018.

We hope that a selection of 10-12 papers in thematic groups will be published, in a volume which will include contributions from established scholars, early career researchers and doctoral researchers. The editors of the Imagines Series at Bloomsbury Press have expressed interest in this proposal. Of course, the publication of this volume depends upon the quality of the papers submitted and positive peer reviews.

Please submit an abstract (200-300 words), together with the revised and anonymised article, to AMPRAW2017@ed.ac.uk. The deadline for submission is 1 March 2018. If English is not your first language, we would advise you to consult a native speaker before submitting an article.

Points of Style

  •  The word-limit per article should not normally exceed 7,000-8,000 words (inclusive of footnotes and all bibliography).

  • Please use a short reference style in footnotes (e.g. Pagano 2010: 55) with full reference in a bibliography.

  • All books and articles cited should be listed in alphabetical order in a bibliography after the article.

  • Please translate all non-English words (Greek and Latin) and phrases into English.

  • Footnotes should be positioned outside of punctuation, not inside.

  • Avoid internal references (“see pages 5-9”).
